Usually, the problem is with the drive belt, so you can fix it at home. In order to fix it, you have to apply pressure to the drive belts, which is located at the back part of the washer.
If the drive belts move more than an inch with the pressure, you’ll have to tighten it up. Loosen that mounting nut, then move it along the rail. It should work.
However, if your problem is with the washer that doesn’t fill, there might be something wrong with the filter screen, it might be clogged. From the back of the washer, you can have access to the filter screen; check them to see if they’re really clogged.
If so, remove them and clean with water and a brush. Put the filter back where it belongs and check the machine.
The washer is leaking water? Check the hose, maybe there’s a little hole in it. Look at both hoses: the inlet and the drain to make sure they have no leaks.
If you notice a hole in it, then you should be sure to get a new hose. You can find it at your local appliance retailer or you can go to GE website and buy it.
Checking the hose can be good too if your washer is taking too long to fill. If it’s happening to you, just check them to see if they’re clogged or have leaks in it.
Is it too noisy during the spin cycle and the washer started to walking? It occurs when the clothes get all together inside the machine. Stop the cycle and redistribute the clothes then turn it on again. You may repeat if necessary.
