Kenmore Washer Complaints

One of the newest Kenmore washer complaints on new models is that their electronic boards seem to go out quite often. This seems to be a problems regarding the front load versions and pops up within about one year of your purchase.

Some of these washer have also been known to not get heavier loads clean which requires the re-washing of it and the use of even more power and water. The clothes get easily tangles and knotted as well.

The tubs on many of these washers from 2007 to 2009 have gone bad within 24 months of ownership and if they are not covered by some type of warranty can cost you over $350 to repair.

The worse part about this is that the Kenmore warranty is only for one full year after that unless you spend more money on an extended service plan you are stuck with the fees of the repairs once they break down. They have also had problems with making very loud banging noises in the drums when clothes are cycling.

Once customers called regarding the loud noises from some of these washers they were told those models had a tendency toward that and there was nothing they could do it was just normal for them.

During cycling they also have problems with hanging up and giving off F11 codes during spin. When this happens it will not let you go past the spin cycle so your clothes lie in limbo unable to completely be washed.

many washers also have issues leaking out into the floor and behind them and causing mildew type smells in your clothes. Many people who purchased them have gotten their floors ruined by this happening.

Not only do your clothes come out smelling and your floor getting ruined but the clothes are not even clean once the cycles have completed. More pressing complaints are regarding the mold that tends to build up in the washers and then makes its way onto your clothes once you put them in to be washed.

Complaints have also appeared about the washer not being able to drain the water out of the tub. These also break down very often within 12-18 months of purchase just when warranty’s tend to be off of them.

Soap scum builds up within the washers tub too which then gets on your next load of laundry and you have to redo the entire load to get it off. Timing switches go out fairly regular on washers who do not really get that much use as well.

Many customers who purchased these washers have actually had their clothing ruined as they get torn during the spin and wash cycles. Of course customer service says to the customers this is not their problem and they have to deal with added cost of buying new clothing without reimbursement.

Transmissions on these also have a high tendency of breaking down and needing to be replaced within one to two years of use. Newer models who have the added luxury of a fabric softener dispenser are not that luxurious after all. The dispenser hardly ever works and sticks constantly.

There are even more Kenmore Washer Complaints out there so your best bet is to buy an entirely different brand name.
