Maytag Washer Complaints
The company was acquired by Whirlpool, and this was supposed to maker the line better. Maytag washer complaints were supposed to be reduced with the new Bravos series of washers, but this line has their own problems.
The main issue that comes up again and again is that the clothing is always a tangled mess when the cycle ends. Since the steam is supposed to help this problem, they failed and many people are upset by this.
There is also more work to get them into the dryer, since each item must be shaken out in order to not wrinkle and actually dry the clothes.
Large loads are also unbalanced, and with the tangling, causes many issues to arise. An error code pops up and the machine stops, and the complaint is that you cannot leave the house or do much else while the laundry is running because you have to untangle the items, replace them and re-balance the machine.
It also boasts that it can do a king sized comforter, and many state that this machine will not handle that large of a load either.
Another major selling point is the reduction in the carbon foot print on the Earth. Many report that they the reduction in b water usage actually causes them to spend twice the time getting the clothes clean, and this increases the energy consumption.
Some complain that this selling point is not true and the time involved to get the clothing clean is hard on busy lives and those that are environmentally minded dislike the amount of water and energy that is needed.
There have also been many reports of repairs and replacements. The agitator was recalled on earlier models, and many others have have to replace other parts of the machine with the most common one being the drum and electronics.
This was an issue that is seen by many owners of the model and should be taken into consideration when looking at the machine.
While the Maytag washer complaints were specific, and most were not more then an inconvenience to the time, there are a few that could be a deal breaker if you want to get this machine.
The repairs that are needed are alarming, and the error code can make this not as convenient as it could be, although nearly all reviews state that the clothing does come out clean despite the problems they experienced.
