Easy Samsung Washer Troubleshooting
When one is considering Samsung washer troubleshooting it is important to realize that there is different technology used in the Samsung than is found in a regular washing machine.
However, there are basics that are common sense and apply to any washer that can easily be followed. If something is complicated it may be necessary to call in a licensed technician familiar with this washer.
If it does not start and there are no lights on the display, this means that the power is off. Shut the door tightly, be sure the plug is in tight and that the circuit breakers are not off. If they are, reset them. Also, look at the plug in and be sure the safety button is in the correct place.
If this has been done turn on the machine. If there seems to be a less than normal amount of water entering the tub the faucets in the back need to be checked to make sure they are on and that the hoses are not kinked . If they are all right then they should be unscrewed and the screens checked for blockage.
The detergent selector should be in an upper position, if it contains detergent, before running the washer. If the machine runs for a while and then stops wait to see if it goes into a soak mode, after which it should start up again. The door may stay locked for a short period of time.
If the problem is with leaking, one should check the drain opening and make sure it fits tight. Also, if one finds there are too many suds it could be caused by the wrong detergent. Only high-efficiency (HF) should be used with this machine.
If the machine vibrates, this can be corrected very easily by adjusting the floor bolts located under the front of the machine. If there is a leak, the water hoses, coming into the machine, should be checked.
After drying off the hoses with a cloth it will be easy to see if one of these is the problem. In which case, shutting off the water supply and replacing with a new hose will solve the problem.
The next things to check are the ends of the hot and cold hoses. If either of the connection points is leaking, the hose should be disconnected and the washers checked. Problems may also occur at the drain pump and other places.
