Beware of the White Westinghouse Washer

White Westinghouse, more commonly known as Fridgidaire, has been in the appliances business for a long time. They are better known and most respected for their refrigerators rather than their washers, but they do manufacture these.
For someone looking to buy a new washing machine, reading product reviews should be one of the first things to do. It could reveal kinks and defects of both the product and the customer service alike that nobody would ever want to go through or waste money on.
Unfortunately, a White Westinghouse washer falls under the category of “washers to stay away from”.
Of all the product reviews on the Internet, the number of negative reviews about these is overwhelming and devastating especially to the producers.
First off, they have, in the past, needed to recall a lot of washers because of their being fire hazards.
Other complaints include:
Inefficient design – front load washer doors collect water that enable mold to develop
Clothes smell bad after washing even with application of detergent and fabric softener (which is normally scented)
Has problems draining water after cycles, which results to molds and/or contribute to the bad smell of washed clothes
Plastic parts break easily such as fabric softener and detergent dispensers
Poor customer service – it takes too long for customers to get attention that their warranties have already ended by then and would now have to pay for repairs out of their own pockets
Shakes violently during cycles
However, there are a few good things to be said about a White Westinghouse washer. Some of these are:
Water usage efficiency – uses less water hence smaller water bill
Long lasting body
Cleans clothes thoroughly without damaging the fabric
With all the aforementioned information, it is now the decision of the consumer whether or not to buy a White Westinghouse washer or not.
